LEE FRIEDLANDER’S NEW YORK CITY MANNEQUINS
This week’s magazine—the Style Issue—includes a spread of images from Lee Friedlander’s recent series called “Mannequin.” From 2009 to 2011, Friedlander photographed shop-window dolls in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, New Orleans, Newport, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Fraenkel Gallery, in San Francisco, exhibited the work earlier this summer and also published a catalog. This October, Pace/MacGill Gallery will exhibit it here in New York. Here’s a selection of photographs from New York City.
